2026 Church Council
Living Hope is led by a Church Council, with members elected by the membership of the congregation each year at its annual meeting. Members serve for two years and can serve up to two consecutive terms.
As our church constitution says, “The Congregation Council shall have general oversight of the life and activities of this congregation, and in particular its worship life, to the end that everything be done in accordance with the Word of God and the faith and practice of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.”
The Council is also responsible for the financial and property matters of the congregation, and serves as the legal board of directors for Living Hope Lutheran Church.
The council typically meets at 6:30 pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month, and all congregation members are welcome to attend. Please confirm the schedule ahead of time, as there is some variation in the meeting dates. Roughly every three months, there is a joint meeting with the Church Council at our partner congregation, Christ the King Lutheran in Port Washington.
Minutes from Living Hope Church Council meetings are linked below. If you ever have questions, concerns, or ideas for our congregation, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of our church council members or Pastor Daniel.
