What to Expect

We offer a welcoming and friendly environment. A greeter will assist you in finding all that you need to enjoy and feel at home in your visit with us.

What should I wear to Sunday Worship?
Living Hope is a fairly casual congregation when it come to dress. You are likely to find dress pants and nice shirts as well as jeans, t-shirts and shorts. You will see people walking around in dress shoes, boots, sandles and tennis shoes. What you can be certain of is that you will be welcome wearing whatever you’re comfortable in.

I have young kids, what should I do?
Please bring them! Know that they are welcome including all their wiggles and noises! We have children of all ages and abilities here at Living Hope. Pastor gives a Children’s Sermon each Sunday that shares the Gospel Story for the day in a way they will enjoy. Also, there are activity bags hanging on the wall next to the bookshelves in the fireside room that have a variety of items to help keep your children occupied during worship.

If needed there is a play area just outside the sanctuary doors, to your right as you exit, where young children can play with parents nearby. There are speakers in this area so parents can continue to hear the message while their children are able to play. There is also a nursery available at the end of the hall, on the left right before exiting the Church into Here We Grow, with attendants to watch your children while they play so that you may attend worship if desired.

Do I need to be a member at Living Hope to take Communion?
No. We believe that all who are baptized, regardless of denomination, and believe that Jesus is truly present in the bread and wine we share together, are welcome to join us at the Lord’s Table.

As you come forward you will receive a piece of bread. You may then dip the bread into one of the smaller chalices of white grape juice or wine, called Intinction, or you may eat the bread and drink from the “Common Cup”. There are also gluten-free options available.

Do I need to give money when I visit?
If you are a guest at Living Hope, please know that your sharing time with us during worship is gift enough. If you do feel compelled to give while you visit us, please feel free to do so, but it is not expected. If you prefer online giving please click here or use the giving site optimized for mobile phones.

How long is a typical worship service?
We start at 10:30 AM on Sunday and the worship service typically concludes at 11:30 AM. After that we request that you stay to visit with us after service has concluded. Please enjoy coffee, juice, and baked goods or donuts in the fellowship hall.
